Glamour at Its Finest

This look is all about the gold accents. I frequently pair grey colouring with gold accents because I love the way it looks. There's something about the dullness of the grey and the radiance of the gold that really pieces something together. I really loved this dress because of the subtle pleating at the sides and the way it flares out at the bottom. It really stood out from all the other t shirt dresses on the rack next to it. And it wouldn't be a look without amazing sunglasses. I feel as though sunglasses never really get old. I tend to pick the pictures that I am wearing sunglasses in because it really emphasises and amps up the glamour of any outfit. For this look I really wanted to go full out with the glamour side of the clothes. No matter how hard I try my styling always leans towards casual instead of full on fancy. This was a definite change.

November Favourites

This month has been amazing for my blog. I've gotten to know so many other bloggers and companies that are just like me. I feel really privileged to have such amazing opportunities to collaborate with different companies and create a better understanding about what the blogging world really is about. These are my monthly favourites for the month of November <3  

My T-Shirt Dress

If you have seen me on a summers day in Auckland, I bet you I was wearing some sort of t shirt dress. They are so practical and comfy without looking like you are wearing pajamas all day. I wear them all the time because you can dress them up and down with a necklace or even a belt. Comfort is extremely important to me especially when it is incredibly sunny and hot outside. A t shirt dress is so easy to just throw on.

Chokers 

BEC Jewellery is a new brand that makes beautifully made chokers and bracelets. They were nice enough to send me two different chokers, the planet choker and the elephant choker. I've got to say these chokers are amazing quality and are so stylish! They go with absolutely everything and truly pull your whole outfit together. On their etsy they sell a variety of different charms, they come at really affordable prices but at the same time are made with quality. Go check them out! The owner is lovely aswell and I feel really proud that there are such courageous ladies out there building their own business's by themselves.

3. Highlighter
The Elf Facial Whip highlighter has been my absolute favourite this month. The colour pay off is amazing, not to mention that it is only 3 dollars! It is especially good for tanned skin tones adding a glowing effect to brighten your face and emphasize your cheekbones. The product is really buildable meaning that you can build it up to your preference.

Glowing Goddess - Model Jessica

I have been obsessed with highlighter and contouring this month. It makes such a big difference in the way you look. By using highlighter it gives you an amazing glow that will entirely change your appearance. The styling for this post was for a fancy day time party. The clothes were monochrome but by adding the beautiful highlighter to her cheeks, it added vibrancy and youthfulness to the look. This beautiful model pictured here is Jessica Shilton. I felt she was perfect for this post because she can pull of any look. Everyone can pull off a bit of highlighter and contouring because it is enhancing your inner beauty without masking it. I strongly recommend to using highlighter and a bit of contouring because it can turn night time clothing to be more suitable to daytime without needing to change clothing. This outfit is also pretty affordable and can be worn in many ways :)

The Bloggers 'sophisticated' Work Outfit

Every blogger struggles to find that perfect mix between classy and total fashionista when styling work appropriate clothing. You want it to be youthful and young but also want to be suitable to be treated with respect in the working place. Even though I don't necessarily work, I do go to meet ups with fellow bloggers where we discuss work related issues and that sometimes means dressing up more sophisticated.  This is also quite a affordable outfit and definitely won't cost you a fortune to recreate. Here is the look I put together for you guys.

The jeans of this outfit have been DIYed by me. I took pieces of jean fabric and simply sewed it over the already made holes in the jeans. I found the jeans really pulled the outfit together as if we would of paired the outfit with a skirt, it would be too sophisticated. By adding the jeans we made it more casual. The bag was from a Thai market in Bangkok but you can easily find one just like it in a different colour if you prefer. The bag added a pop of colour to the outfit whereas without it the whole outfit would basically be monochrome. We want to add colour to our outfits especially in New Zealand as summer is here. We all love monochrome colours but by adding a pop of colour the outfit will look more 'planned' or thought about. A pop of colour will often make you look more awake and fresher and we definitely want that!

Review: Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush

Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush is the ultimate skincare tool. If you suffer from acne, this is the solution. Some might say that it will be too harsh on your skin because of the bristles. That is why Clinique has specially formatted this brush to target sensitive skin.

I absolutely LOVE this product. My skin is not necessarily bad but it is acne-prone. My skin tends to scar easily and this makes it harder to find the right scrub for me. This product has been compared to the Clarisonic which is around 60 dollars more expensive. Although people might find this product expensive, it does wonders for your skin in the long run.

The bristles have two sections, the green part is targeted for the sides of your nose and other harder to reach areas. The white part is used mainly for your cheeks and t-zone. The bristles are extremely soft and leave your skin feeling as smooth as ever. When turned on, the brush uses sonic movement to gently lift makeup, dirt and oil off your face. I found this product great for removing makeup because makeup wipes only wipe the makeup on the surface of your skin off. Makeup products tend to clog pores which leads to blemishes but this product takes it all off. I know it removes all the makeup because you can visibly see the makeup on the brush after using it. When my skin gets bad I tend to use this everyday. This did not harm my skin in anyway and I saw many positive results with smoother and more radiant skin. I recommend this product if you are looking for a new way to clear and replenish your skin.

I don't know about you guys but I freaking love to dress fancy. I love being the one that 'stands out' because when it comes to fashion I am always the one that wants to be in the spotlight. The key to looking 'casual' while pulling off a dressy style is dressing a more posh top with a fun bottom. Whether its shorts or jeans, the outfit will immediately look put together without looking like you spent hours picking the perfect match of clothing *wink wink*. Here is what I styled for you guys, rocking that 90's chic vibe :D

The Secret to Styling Leather

Yes we all want to wear leather. The problem is we don't all want to look like we are full on rocking that rocker chick vibe. Leather is about edge but it can also be chic. These are some of the tips I have for styling leather and a way I personally would style it.

Most people are scared of leather. No its not physically scary but people are scared of the idea of being 'out there'. That's where they are wrong. Leather can be made extremely casual but can also be something you would wear to a high end party or club. No matter which way you choose to style leather it will always look edgy, but that is definitely not a bad thing.

If you are wanting more of a casual look try pairing a leather jacket with a dress, sweater or something more feminine. This will weaken the 'biker chic' style but not harm the actual point of the outfit. Also paired with this try steering away from more leather and adding in some ripped or plain jeans.  If you are wanting something more classy for a formal event try pairing a leather skirt or pants that have texture to them with a blinged up sweater. This will look really sophisticated but also edgy. Or if you have other ideas in mind that you think would look good on you, GO FOR IT! Please don't hold back :D
